A Warzone player noticed an easter egg in the Verdansk reveal trailer, indicating the return of high-tier locations.
After months of speculation, Activision finally confirmed that Warzone’s original map, Verdansk, will make a long-awaited return in Season 3, which starts on April 3. The reveal trailer revealed that several iconic weapons, vehicles, and POIs from the original map will be brought back.
This includes the Kilo 141 and CR-56 AMAX assault rifles, as well as the HDR sniper. Leaks have also mentioned the Grau 5.56 AR, but it wasn’t in the trailer.
Article continues after adMost rumors suggest that the rest of the map will look very similar to its original version in 2020, but one classic feature in the trailer wasn’t there when the map first launched.
COD Warfare took a screenshot of the reveal trailer, showing a code used to open a bunker on Verdansk.
Urzikstan featured 12 vaults that could be opened with keycards obtained by completing a Bounty, Scavenger, Recon, or Most Wanted contract. Upon opening, the treasure troves were full of weapon racks, ammo boxes, and other high-tier loot.
Article continues after adIt became a race to get to vaults first and fight off enemies, as the loot from them could swing the tide and give your team the advantage needed to win a match. It was always a tense moment opening them, since teams had to keep their heads on a swivel for enemies as the massive vault door slowly opened.
It’s unclear if the vaults will be available when Season 3 starts or if they will be added in a future update. Either way, having them back in Warzone is exciting, and players should consider unlocking one shortly after landing.
